The Attapulgus, GA site is a petroleum cracking catalyst manufacturing facility.

This position is responsible for providing leadership, first-line supervision, technical assistance and training to a staff of journeyman-level industrial electrical and instrumentation technicians and related maintenance personnel at the Attapulgus, GA Site.  Role is responsible for formulating and developing unit goals and objectives, supervising assigned personnel and directing day-to-day activities.  Duties and responsibilities are carried out with considerable independence within the framework of established policies, procedures and guidelines.  Work and results are reviewed through inspection and analysis of records, reports and completed work orders, and equipment and system performance.  The successful candidate for this position must be a results-oriented leader who can build strong working relationships and function effectively at all levels of the organization. He or she must be able to think strategically to mitigate risks, solve problems and increase value. Key roles and responsibilities include:

    * Having an in-Depth Knowledge of safe work practices, safe work methods and safety regulations.  Must be able to emulate and model Safe Behavior, Communicating and Leading in a High Performance Behavioral Safety Culture. Seeks compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements.

    * Working knowledge of Motor Control Centers, VFD’s and switchgear.

    * Working knowledge of DCS and PLC systems and equipment.

    * Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation.

    * Oversee Change Management process when E&I Systems are impacted.

    * Working knowledge of PM practices and philosophy.

    * Adheres to current corporate and plant requirements for equipment/materials specifications and vendor preferences.

    * May also provide support as a discipline engineer for assigned projects, based on engineering degree, background, or experience.

    * Promotes identification of lessons learned from completed projects to improve work practices.

    * Participates and contributes on engineering discipline teams via ad hoc assignments with other Site and North America engineers to review, update, and develop guidelines, standards, and practices.

    * Ability to select, motivate and evaluate staff and provide for their training and development.

    * Good problem solving/troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications – recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

    * BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

    * 5+ years industrial experience in chemical, electrical and instrumentation maintenance.

    * Outstanding technical, leadership and communication skills

    * Must have strong analytical thinking, communication and interpersonal understanding, initiative, team working and team leadership, and quality orientation/attention to detail

    * Knowledge of SAP system is preferred

    * Supervisory experience a strong plus

    * Working knowledge of Motor Control Centers, VFD’s and switchgear

    * Working knowledge of DCS and PLC systems and equipment

    * Working knowledge of PM practices and philosophy
