Job Opening for a Manager or Project Engineer to lead the office’s Industrial Program – This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental professional with project management experience in the industrial sector to take on a lead role in an established, successful office!
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Provides senior project oversight, ensures regulatory/policy compliance, and expert technical input on complex industrial projects.
* Provides senior review and approval to documents and deliverables.
* Handles major client interaction, financial responsibility, and resource allocation.
* Evaluates subsurface characteristics for remediation projects, remedial system design, and regulatory negotiations for industrial work.
* Manages the Performance Management process through team meetings, one-on-one coaching for all project team members.
* Develops team and individual goals and conducts Performance Reviews yearly and/or bi-yearly for team members.
* Prepares and conducts bi-weekly team meetings to review current and future projects, discuss project or employee issues, and staff workloads.
* Evaluates staff workloads and redistributes work assignments as appropriate.
* Ensures that all project team members adhere to company Health & Safety standards in all project and field-related activities.
Requirements: * A B.S. Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a similar discipline and 8+ years of experience managing an industrial program. Experience should include: investigation/site characterization, remediation, and management of industrial work (refinery pipelines, terminals, etc.)
* Must have knowledge of RCRA.
* Must have excellent communication, technical writing, time management, analytical, problem solving, assessment, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate that they have been able to maintain an account for an extended period of time as a result of client satisfaction.
* Professional Certification preferred.
* Business development experience is a plus.
