Ability to travel a minimum of 50%</p>
<p>The <strong>Account Manager</strong> is responsible to maintain and establish growth of the current Academic, Biotech, and Clinical Market customer base. Primary responsibilities also include developing and creating new business opportunities through promoting the reagent portfolio, working strategically  with their Instrument Sales Specialist, Phama Business Development Manager, and Distribution Representatives.  The Account Manager will actively seek to convert competitive business in assigned territory leading to increased revenues for the company. The Account Manager is directly responsible for achieving their territory sales growth.  This position is located in the Houston, TX area.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Responsibilities: </strong>Develop Territorial Business Plan to achieve sales goals inclusive of influencing territorial luminaries via new products/applications positioning.  Develop and maintain adequate short/long term sales pipeline to consistently generate profitable revenue.  Achievement of revenues goals by  growing existing customer bases as well as conversions of competitive accounts.  Strategically work with their Regional Business Manager to build growth business plans around Strategic Accounts.  Ensure all Price Requests are renewed  as appropriate.  Building team relationships with other Company&#8217;s Biosciences Sales, Service, and Technical Support Associates to maximize sales revenues while promoting opportunities, harmony, and territorial management.  Develops and maintains one on one relationship  with key distributor sales reps within assigned areas.  Perform other related duties and  assignments as required.</p>
<p><strong>Assets</strong>:  Life Science sales experience.  MBA a plus.  Flow Cytometry experience.  Familiar with Life Science Research, clinical Immunology, Hematology and/or Flow Cytometry.  Working knowledge of automated biomedical instrumentation and computer technology.  Effective meeting, training, and presentation skills.  Experience in managing both internal and external budgets and resources, conducting pre-call planning, and ability to prioritize and segment accounts.  Effective interpersonal skills. Effective written and oral communications skills.  Effective organization and planning  skills.  Effective selling and negotiation skills.  Effective decision making/problem solving skills. Effective computer skills, i.e., Lotus Notes, Excel, Word,  etc</p>

<p>-                  Conducts analysis to evaluate technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design</p>
<p>-                  Determines surgeon, operating room staff, internal employees, and product distributor training requirements and develops training courses and materials to satisfy these requirements</p>
<p>-                  Oversees activities during the development, delivery and evaluation of technical training on-site globally (e.g. USA, Canada, Europe, Russia, Israel, APAC)</p>
<p>-                  Hands-on development, enhancement and updating of training collaterals (e.g PPTs) and involvement in selecting and managing relevant suppliers</p>

<p>This position will be as a member of the Business Intelligence team of the Global Project Marketing group in the Global Oncology Division. He/She will report directly to the Senior Director, Head of Global Business Intelligence (BI), who has responsibility for the Market Insight, Competitive Intelligence and Forecasting functions. The BI team helps provide strategic direction and coordination for these activities on a global basis, to make sure the BI function delivers as per the needs of the Project Team of each asset, the Business Unit of each market, and the Business Development needs of the Global Portfolio Strategy team.</p>
<p>This will be a high-visibility role; this individual will assume primary BI responsibility for one or more key late-stage oncology assets. In addition, he/she will be the practice area expert in one or more of the following functions &#8211; secondary data analytics, primary market research, forecasting/asset evaluation, or competitive intelligence gathering. This person will actively participate in knowledge sharing and helping implement best practice across the division. Finally, this person will be expected to periodically initiate and lead internal strategic initiatives/projects that innovate and help improve the performance of the overall division.</p>
<p>This person will work closely with the other members of Global Project Marketing (the Market Access function, the various Global Brand Marketing leads), and with colleagues in the Portfolio Strategy/Business Development group. He/she will form strong working relationships with individuals who provide the market research and forecasting functions in the various markets, and ensure that their input is reflected in commissioned BI projects. The position has no direct reports at this time, but will have a Global BI budget that he/she will justify and use to commission outside agencies for various deliverables. To this end, the individual must develop and manage a strong network of external agencies/vendors that provide expert and dependable execution of commissioned projects.</p>
<p> Basic qualifications:</p>
<p>- Bachelor&#8217;s degree from an accredited university, Master&#8217;s degree preferred</p>
<p>- 5+ years of experience in the global pharmaceutical industry</p>
<p>- Expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas &#8211; secondary data analyses, primary market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting, financial modeling and asset evaluation</p>
<p>- Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of information into cogent insights, and to integrate perspectives across different audiences (physician, payer, patient)</p>
<p>- Experience in oncology, neuroscience or other specialty pharmaceutical area</p>
<p>- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical drug discovery, development and commercialization processes</p>
<p>- Experience working in a matrix environment with multiple internal and/or external customers</p>
<p>- Experience supporting R&amp;D pipeline assets and business development in-licensing opportunities</p>
<p>- Record of innovation, initiative and dependable execution under pressure</p>
<p>- Excellent listening and communication skills</p>
<p>- Oncology therapeutic area/disease area knowledge</p>
<p>- Familiarity and experience with global market dynamics in oncology</p>
<p>- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks</p>

<p>Qualifications:<br />
- Education: Bachelor&#8217;s Degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in related scientific discipline.<br />
- Experience: Minimum 5 years related experience in pharmaceutical research, toxicology, and/or drug regulatory setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.<br />
- Other: Comprehensive knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and government regulatory requirements and guidelines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office standard software.</p>
