Location: Chicago, IL

Ideal Candidate: Knowledge of engines, emission control catalysts, catalyst design, operation, and testing.  Knowledge of heavy duty diesel applications a plus.

Qualifications:

5 to 7 years experience

BS Chemistry of Engineering

Willingness to travel occasionally

The Applications Engineer will be responsible to provide technical and
engineering expertise in support of the Company’s Mobile Emissions catalysts
products, systems technologies, product demonstrations and technology delivery.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical engineering support to a major OEM customer for all programs (US 2013, Euro VI – Brazil). This position will manage all of the technical programs,  including the catalyst technology recommendations, catalyst samples, test programs, data analysis,
FMEA’s, DVP&R’s, production launch support and ongoing technical service.nn This position will work closely with the customer’s Sales Manager, R&D, and the Engine Test facilities to develop optimum after treatment catalyst solutions and integrate our catalyst technologies into the customer’s engine platforms. This is a resident engineer position located in the Chicago, Illinois area. Periodic travel is required

Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering a strong asset); Master’s Degree in a technical discipline preferred; Minimum 5-10 years of experience in technical service or related fields; Requires strong technical skills, with knowledge of engines, emission control catalysts, catalyst design, operation, and testing; Knowledge of heavy duty diesel applications a plus; Must possess excellent communication, presentation, influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal effectively with external and internal customers at all levels.
