<p>Process Analyzer Engineers in Engineering &amp; Services Department, E&amp;I,  provide process analyzer engineering technical support for plant operating and maintenance departments.  The engineers also provide process analyzer engineering support for capital projects including:<br />
(1) definition of the process analyzer and sample system scope of project<br />
(2) input to estimates, design and specification of equipment<br />
(3) other needed capital project services.  Individuals in this role maintain expertise in assigned functional areas of process analyzers and sample systems.  The engineer also maintains corporate and site standards related to assigned functional areas, aligning these with PIP and other industry standards as applicable.</p>
<p><strong>Job Responsibilities: </strong><br />
-Provide process analyzer engineering technical support, primarily for the Texas site, but for other sites as requested.<br />
-Identify opportunities for improved process analyzers, sample systems, and on-line analytical services (e.g., quality, cost, reliability). <br />
-Maintain technical expertise in assigned functional areas of process analyzers and sample systems.<br />
-Provide training to operating departments and Analyzer Mechanics related to assigned functional areas.<br />
-Provide forecast cost and schedule estimates for capital and maintenance projects.<br />
-Determine scope of work for process analyzer and sample system portion of projects.<br />
-Provide engineering design and specifications to support procurement and construction activities for projects.<br />
-Lead and/or participate on standards teams to develop standards and practices to be used for Eastman capital and maintenance projects.<br />
-Interpret codes and standards related to functional areas of expertise. <br />
-Participate with E&amp;I team members on improvement projects related to E&amp;I processes.<br />
-Provide on-call E&amp;I support for plant operations.   <br />
-Perform above duties with attention to safety in both work practices and design. <br />
-Perform above duties with a focus on team work and customer satisfaction.<br />
-Prioritize work assignments based on the safety, environmental, regulatory, and economic value to Eastman.</p>
<p><strong>Job Qualifications/Skills</strong><br />
- Process Analyzer Engineering and Project Management Skills, including:<br />
Sample System Design and Maintenance Improvements, including all aspects delivering a representative sample to a process analyzer.<br />
Process Analyzer Applications and Maintenance Improvements, with special emphasis on process gas chromatographs, process safety analyzers, and environmental monitoring.<br />
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment with personnel from diverse backgrounds<br />
-Ability to effectively handle a large volume of important or urgent issues in a timely manner.<br />
-Ability to effectively self-manage a very demanding workload.<br />

<p>The Reliability Engineer job position is in the Reliability Services group in the Engineering &amp; Services Department at the Longview site.   Personnel in this job position perform work in a variety of areas including: </p>
<p>(1) performing reliability studies or reliability modeling on specific plant equipment or larger systems to identify and recommend projects to improve plant reliability and reduce conversion cost</p>

<p>-Support operations and maintenance during on-going plant operations including troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and support during major turnarounds</p>

<p>-Perform analysis of production loss and equipment failure data using statistical analysis tools and recommend projects to improve reliability</p>

<p>The Reliability engineer will provide reliability support to the site by developing and implementing reliability engineering systems. The position will be responsible for implementing Reliability methodologies like RBI, RCM, RCA and other reliability-based maintenance engineering principles and practices. The position develops and oversees the implementation of a comprehensive multi-year &#8220;Reliability Plan&#8221;.<br />
Principal Responsibilities:.<br />
-         Planning and coordinating the activities associated with the maintenance of equipment to improve plant and equipment availability and efficiency in support of site production requirements.<br />
Providing Technical and Management support (Maintenance) to plant emergency needs as required.<br />
Providing technical support and leadership solving specific production issues in an integrated cross-functional team environment.<br />
Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.<br />
Advising the Maintenance Department on preventive maintenance requirements and practices. Lead overhauls and repairs of major machinery.<br />
Instructing maintenance technicians on principles and standards.<br />
Assist in managing the site Mechanical Integrity program<br />
Monitor new tools and technology available in the maintenance marketplace.<br />
-         Assist in the department&#8217;s adherence to any Lean Manufacturing objectives.<br />
-         Provide technical assistance to support all site maintenance activities.<br />
-         Monitor reliability performance of different operational units.<br />
-         Analyze the reasons for equipment failure and lead Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root cause Analysis (RCA) efforts. Participate in reliability related incident investigations; prioritize action items, and follow-up on their implementation.<br />
-         Continued development of a multi-year reliability improvement plan, this plan will include the development and execution of capital and expense projects for various operating units at the Site.<br />
-         Provide continuous improvement to the yearly maintenance plan (preventive, predictive) and monitor its execution.<br />
-         Ensure lessons learned, best practices, action items of reliability incidents are communicated and incorporated in the design of new projects and new technical specifications.<br />
-         Complete as required monthly reporting.<br />
-         Act as primary focal point for reliability related work groups.<br />
-         Interface with all Site plant operations maintenance, engineering and research personnel as necessary.<br />
-         Maintain all maintenance records and files for the analysis and reporting of all maintenance-related business matters. <br />
-         Originate and develop analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes.<br />
-         Work with maintenance planner/scheduler to ensure maintenance and reliability issues are addressed correctly and efficiently.<br />
-         Identify areas of cost reduction, and prepare preventative Maintenance requirements for new and existing equipment.<br />
-         Backup for Maintenance Planner/Scheduler and Maintenance Manager.<br />
-         Assist Engineering in the preparation of spare parts and PM Lists for new equipment.<br />
Development and management of a &#8220;bad actor&#8221; program for the plant.<br />
Development of new/replacement equipment specifications for &#8220;bad actor&#8221; pieces of equipment.<br />
-         Active support of all EH&amp;S policies and procedures<br />

-         Must have a sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment.<br />
-        Must have a general understanding of industrial maintenance procedures including work planning, PM, repair parts acquisition, and budget control<br />
-        Must be capable of making business decisions based upon situation analysis and resources available<br />
-        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal<br />
-        Able to work in a team environment.<br />
-        Experience in development and implementation of Reliability Engineering systems.<br />
-        High level of understanding of critical maintenance activities, i.e. static and rotating mechanical equipment repairs.<br />

<p>For the development of basic and detailed design of new plants as well as additions or modifications to existing facilities:</p>
<p>A) Provide Process Engineering support, including the following resposibilities:</p>
<p>- Developing process simulations, material and energy balance analysis.<br />
-  Preparing  PFD&#8217;s (Process Flow Diagrams), P&amp;ID&#8217;s (Piping &amp; Instrumentation Diagrams) and process specifications for equipment and instruments.  Identifying process steps, associated equipment, instrumentation and safety valve requirements.<br />
- Preparing documentation for and participating in Project Safety Reviews.<br />
- Preparing data for and participating in Project Technical reviews.<br />
- Participating in HAZOP studies.<br />
- Reviewing work performed by outside contractor process engineers.<br />
- Participating in plant start-up and troubleshooting.<br />
- Performing process optimization studies.<br />
- Identifying and recommending process improvements, and providing process troubleshooting and optimization related to improving efficiency, capability, and safety. Interface with operations to provide technical support and recommendations on methods and improvements to eliminate problems.<br />
- Mentor and coach younger engineers, including participants in the Professional Development Program.</p>
<p>B) Provide Project Engineering support, including the following resposibilities:<br />
- Perform studies and analysis<br />
- Participate in Value Improving Practices,and other project related tasks<br />
- Interface with the design disciplines and engineering contractors to facilitate the completion of engineering tasks<br />
- Resolve action items associated with conceptual planning, detailed engineering, and construction-<br />
- Evaluate alternatives developed during conceptual planning<br />
- Perform bid analysis for complex service contracts<br />
Required knowledge obtained through completion of a course of study leading to a BS in Chemical Engineering and 15 or more years of relevant experience.<br />
Basic understanding of process equipment design including pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, etc. Must be able to apply process tools to design piping systems, calculate pressure relief valve sizes, complete material and energy balances, and perform process optimization studies.<br />
Good working knowledge of CAPE applications ( ASPEN, HTFS, Sinet, PSV-Calc, Pipeflow, etc. ) a definite plus.<br />
Basic familiarity with engineering, purchasing, accounting and construction practices.<br />
Good communication and computer skills.<br />
Self starter with high level of results orientation.</p>
